According to The Belfast Telegraph, Burton Albion are close to sealing the signing of Liam Boyce.
Liam Boyce looks set to leave Ross County this summer and Burton could see off widespread competition to land the prolific forward.
Boyce was a revelation for Ross County last season, helping his side finish seventh in the Scottish Premiership.
His tally of 23 goals won him the golden boot for the division and he scored two more than Celtic forward Scott Sinclair and six more than Moussa Dembele.
In addition to this, Liam Boyce also added five assists.
The 26-year-old had been tracked by Hearts, Hibernian, Aberdeen and some Championship clubs but Burton Albion are now favourites to sign him after they stayed afloat last season.
Despite being tipped for the drop by a number of pundits and spectators, the Brewers defied expectation and survived with limited resources.
Nigel Clough’s side are now looking to build for the future and they have identified Liam Boyce as a major target.
Burton can snap up the Northern Ireland international for £500,000, which is the release clause in his contract.
Liam Boyce’s good form has continued recently and he netted his first ever international goal with the winner against New Zealand.
Burton are looking for an out and out goal scorer to lift them up the Championship table and Liam Boyce could be their man.
