Burnley submit bid to lure £8m-rated Championship ace to Turf Moor

Championship outfit Burnley have launched a bid to bring Brentford star Alan Judge to Turf Moor, according to Sky Sports.

The Irishman is a wanted man this transfer window amongst Championship clubs, with Sheffield Wednesday having an offer turned down last week.

The Bees reportedly value their star man at £8m, so it remains to be seen whether Burnley will be able to match that. Dyche will be hopeful that a deal can be achieved, as he looks to tweak his squad, as they push for an instant return to the Premier League.

Judge initially arrived at Griffin Park on loan in January 2014, and joined permanently as Brentford were promoted to the Championship.

He has been an integral member of the side ever since, but with only 18 months left on his contract, whether his long-term future is in West London remains to be seen.

Burnley are fourth in the Championship, whereas Brentford are 11th, so Judge would have a greater chance to taste Premier League football at this moment in time, but a deal is far from complete yet.

Bees boss Dean Smith will hope that Judge will still be at the club come February as he looks to steer his side towards the play-off positions.
