Since his return to Brentford in January, Jota has been one of the most influential players in the Championship, which appears to have caught the eye of Burnley.

In just 21 appearances, Jota netted 12 goals and assisted a further five, which in half a season, is a very impressive return.

Jota had been influential in Brentford's success in previous seasons, most notably in the 14/15 season, where Brentford made the Play-Offs, with current Burnley star, Andre Gray, also playing for the Bees at that point.

The Spaniard had offers to leave Griffin Park that summer, but instead, he made the decision to return to Spain, with Eibar, where he struggled.

However, since he has returned, he has been on fire and his performances could well have earned him a move to the Premier League, though he has just signed a new deal at the Bees, so a transfer may prove tough.

If Jota is to make the step up, one side who is crying out for a new winger, is Burnley.

The Clarets needed a new winger this summer anyway, but with George Boyd at a stand-off with the Burnley board over a new contract, they now need more than one.

Jota is everything that the Clarets don't currently have.

His pace and guile out wide is exactly what Sean Dyche's side have been crying out for, for quite some time.

The Spaniard likes to play from the right and cut inside onto his left foot, which is very similar to what Boyd and Burnley's only other right wing option, Johann Berg Gudmundsson, do.

Jota's ex-Brentford team mates, Andre Gray and James Tarkowski, currently reside at Turf Moor, and this could have a say in deciding where the Spaniard's future lies if there is more than once club interested in him.
