Burnley reject £7 million bid from Premier League club for star player

Stoke City have had a £7 million bid for Burnley defender Michael Keane rejected, according to the Metro.

The former Manchester United player has had an outstanding season in the Championship for the Clarets so far, and his good form has not gone unnoticed by Premier League clubs.

It seems as though Mark Hughes has highlighted Keane as the man to shore up his defence over the second half of the season.

The 23-year-old played Premier League football at Turf Moor last season as his side suffered relegation, but looks like he may get another chance at performing at that level.

Clearly Keane will not be allowed to move without a fight as Dyche seeks to keep hold of one of his important players. Keane’s future may heavily depend if they are able to complete a deal for Brentford’s James Tarkowski.

Burnley are flying high in the Championship at present as they seek an immediate return to the Premier League.

Dyche would loathe to lose such a crucial player halfway through a season, as he looks to steer his side towards the automatic places. Burnley are currently 4th in the Championship at present and are five points off seconnd place.

Burnley fans……What do you think? How much is Keane worth? How important is it to keep hold of him? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
