Premier League Burnley are the latest club to show an interest in signing Birmingham City striker Che Adams.

The Clarets are keen on adding some new faces to their squad this summer and have now, according to Alan Nixon, identified the Blues forward as the ideal signing to come into the club and get in and amongst the goals.

Adams was in fine form for the Blues last season as he rattled in over 20 goals for Garry Monk's men. However, that form has now attracted admiring glances from a host of Premier League clubs, with Southampton one of the clubs with a vested interest in the young forward.

The 22-year-old burst onto the scene with Sheffield United following a move from non-league Ilkeston Town, with his two goal showing against Spurs in a League Cup semi-final propelling him into the public eye.

His form for the Blues last season on top of his goals has ensured he is now one of the hottest properties outside of the Premier League, and a move this summer is almost looking inevitable.

Burnley are looking to add new strikers to their ranks following a poor season in front of goal last term, with the club willing to move on the likes of Matej Vydra and Nahki Wells to raise further funds.

The Verdict

A move to Burnley might be a good one for Adams, who is destined to move to the top flight this summer you would assume.

Birmingham need to ensure they get the maximum fee they can for Adams, who will have his own decision to make on where he goes too.

Burnley is a decent enough landing spot for Adams though, with Sean Dyche being one of the top managers in the game.
