Burnley and Stoke City have joined the race to sign Sheffield United defender Rhys Norrington-Davies, according to Football Insider.

Norrington-Davies is believed to be a player in demand, with West Bromwich Albion also recently been linked with a move for the Wales international.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Luton Town, after leaving Bramall Lane in search of regular game time in September.

The defender spent time on loan with Barrow in 2018/19 and with Rochdale in 2019/20, and he has made nine appearances for Nathan Jones' side this term.

The full-back is yet to make a first-team appearances for the Blades since coming through the ranks at Sheffield United, and a permanent move away could be on the cards in January.

According to Football Insider, Burnley and Stoke now have Norrington-Davies on their radar, with both sides eyeing up the defender ahead of January.

You have to think about Norrington-Davies' future at Bramall Lane and whether he's likely to get any game time in the near future.

Enda Stevens is a quality player, and Norrington-Davies will have to work extremely hard to break into the side ahead of the Irishman.

He is clearly catching the eye after a number of impressive performances for the Hatters, and it's no wonder that some big sides are now chasing his signature.

It would be a coup for Stoke to sign him, given that two Premier League sides are also after his signature.
