Norwich City manager Daniel Farke is a target for Eintracht Frankfurt, according to a report by The Eastern Daily Press.

Eintracht Frankfurt are considering Farke to fill their vacant managerial position after Niko Kovac departed to become the Head Coach at Bayern Munich.

As well as Farke, Frankfurt are also considering former West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic, who has been without a job since leaving the East London club earlier this season.

Norwich appointed Farke last summer after he left his post as the manager of Borussia Dortmund II.

But it has been a year full of ups and downs at Carrow Road with Farke leading the Canaries to a 14th place finish.

The 41-year-old has another year left to run on his contract and he has insisted he is happy at Norwich but Frankfurt still have placed him on their wishlist as they decide who to name as Kovac's successor.

Frankfurt are currently battling for a Europa League spot but they need to beat second-place Schalke on the final day to give themselves a chance of reaching Europe.

They are also in the final of the German Cup and they will face Kovac's new club Bayern Munich in that.

The Verdict

Farke is a man who divides opinion at Norwich and it remains to be seen whether this first season has just been a platform for him to kick on next term or whether he really does have limitations as manager.

A move back to Germany must be tempting, especially to be given a job with a Bundesliga club who are potentially going to play European football next year.

But perhaps he is invested in this project he has started at Carrow Road and wants to help guide the Canaries to promotion next year.
