Patrick Bamford has started every Championship fixture this season for Leeds United, leading the line for Marcelo Bielsa’s promotion-chasing side.

Leeds sit second in the table after 20 fixtures, with Bamford scoring seven goals in that time to establish himself as Bielsa’s leading man, limiting Eddie Nketiah to a place on the bench.

It has been the past month where Bamford has really strengthened his grip on his starting spot, as well as endearing himself to the Elland Road faithful.

In consecutive weeks, he opted to become the wind-up merchant the fans at Leeds love, with Luton Town, Reading and Middlesbrough silenced as Bielsa’s side gather momentum in the Championship’s promotion race.

On the back of that, the 26-year-old has been quizzed on how he handles these situations, with Bamford telling the Whites’ official media: "They've been giving me a bit of grief lately, and if you're going to give it, you've got to be able to take it. It spurs me on, and if the away fans are booing you, then you must be doing something right."

As Bamford’s popularity grows in Leeds, and the dislike for him increases elsewhere, this side of his game is dividing the Championship.

However, it is safe to say that the Leeds fans are loving it.

Here is some reaction to his latest admission…
