Coventry City continued their good start to the season with a 3-0 win over Peterborough on Friday night.

The win means Mark Robins' side are unbeaten in their last seven games and up to second in the table.

It was a complete performance from the midlands side but despite a convincing win, it took the Sky Blues until the 57th minute to take the lead as Gustavo Hamer fired home the first.

In-form striker Viktor Gyökeres earned the plaudits as he scored his sixth and seventh goals of the season, taking the scoreline to 3-0. That now leaves the Swedish forward with five goals in his last four games.

Gyökeres was certainly one of the stand-out players for the Sky Blues in their 3-0 win. As well as scoring twice, he completed seven dribbles, hit four out of his five shots on target, and had 41 touches of the ball showing he was a constant threat to Peterborough all evening.

And Coventry City fans recognised Gyökeres's performance as they took to Twitter to praise their star striker.
