BT Sport presenter and Norwich City fan Jake Humphrey has admitted that he would be "pleased" to see Leeds United back in the Premier League next season, as the race for automatic promotion heats up.

The Canaries and the Whites have been at loggerheads for the duration of the campaign, and the two teams currently lead the race to win promotion to the Premier League automatically this season.

Daniel Farke's men have lost just one of their 17 league games and sit four points clear of Leeds at the top of the Sky Bet Championship table, with just four games left to play this season.

But responding to Henry Winter's article in the Times regarding Leeds' potential return to the top-flight, Humphrey admitted that would "be pleased" to see Marcelo Bielsa's side reach the Premier League.

The weekend's set of results went massively in Leeds' favour, with the Whites picking up an invaluable 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday just a couple of hours after Sheffield United dropped points at home to Millwall.

Bielsa's men face Wigan Athletic at Elland Road on Friday afternoon, before travelling to Brentford in what is shaping up to be a hectic Easter period.

The Verdict

I completely share Humphrey's sentiments - I for one would love to see Leeds back in the Premier League.

They are what I call a "proper club", huge fanbase, huge history, and a fantastic atmosphere at home when Elland Road is rocking.

I would love to see Marcelo Bielsa manage them in the Premier League, as I reckon that they could be a real force to be reckoned with under the Argentine.
