Following the 4-0 win over Bristol City on Wednesday, Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo has spoken about the relationship that he shares with fellow attackers, striker Ollie Watkins and winger Said Benrahma.

Mbeumo told the club website: "It was a really pleasing victory.

"The early red card helped us but we played really well after that and got a good three points.

"You can definitely say that the BMW performed well today (against Bristol City). It gives me a lot of pleasure that all three of us scored.”

Against Bristol City, Mbeumo opened the scoring in the sixth minute before Benrahma doubled the Bees' advantage in the first half, with Watkins netting twice in the final 10 minutes to ensure that all the points were heading back to London.

It was only the second time this season that the 'BMW' partnership had all made it onto the scoresheet, as they continue their prolific form having fired Thomas Frank's side up to third in the Championship.

Mbeumo netted his tenth league goal of the season against Bristol City with a toe-poke from close range, while Benrahma has netted four goals in 23 appearances. However, his silky skills and creative play is attracting interest from the Premier League.

Watkins has proven to be one of the more prolific strikers in the second tier this season, second in the scorering chat with 17 goals, just one behind Fulham's Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Verdict

The 'BMW' partnership that forms Brentford's attack is one of the most feared in the Championship, and Mbeumo is clearly taking delight in the fact that all three of them managed to get on the scoresheet away to Bristol City.

All three of them will be able to fire Brentford to promotion if the three continue to stay at Griffin Park beyond January, and they could bring Premier League football to Brentford for the first time.
