Aston Villa are in the running to sign Leicester City striker Ahmed Musa, according to various reports.

The former CSKA Moscow striker has failed to really kick on since arriving at the King Power Stadium, so it would be no surprise to see the forward depart.

Would Musa be a good signing for Villa? Do they need him?

We take a look....

Adam Simeoni

Strong, fast and with an eye for goal, Musa would surely tear the Championship to pieces.

An experienced international with an abundance of experience, Musa would terrify defences at this level with his direct running, and Steve Bruce would be foolish to turn down an opportunity to sign him, should the Nigerian become available.

George Dagless

I'm not sure.

There's been a few questions raised over Musa's attitude at Leicester and Villa can't afford to upset things.

He obviously deserves a second chance somewhere but I don't think Villa should risk bringing him in when they finally look a settled squad.

Alfie Burns

Absolutely, if Villa could secure a loan move for Musa, Bruce would be delighted.

Bruce has good attacking options, but he will want to add to them in January and Musa could be perfect.

The 25-year-old has the ability to play across the frontline, and with his opportunities limited at Leicester, a January move could hand him the perfect chance to prove himself.

Chris Gallagher

Yes, there's not much to lose if it was a loan.

Despite struggling with Leicester, Musa was electric at CSKA and has genuine pace.

He could transform the Villa attack and give them another option, whether it's on the wing or up front.
