Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce is preparing to axe at least four of his first team stars in January, reports the Express.

The Villa gaffer has been less than impressed with a selection of his squad, and with FFP regulations clamping down on his budget for the winter window, Bruce is looking to offload the likes of Scott Hogan, Henri Lansbury, Jack Grealish, and James Bree.

The big news in particular is the inclusion of big money signings Hogan and Lansbury in this list, who only joined the club less than a year ago, while former Barnsley man Bree has failed to have any sort of impact so far at Villa Park.

The sale of Grealish though will not come as a big surprise to many, with the youngster often struggling with issues off the field and suffering various injuries in his young career so far which have curtailed his progress.

Bruce had gotten his team into some good form, but they were pegged back in a 2-1 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday yesterday as the Owls inflicted Villa's first home defeat of the season.

The former Birmingham and Wigan manager is hoping to add new faces in January, but needs to sell in order to raise funds, and he will be hoping the sale of the likes of Hogan can bring in some good sums of cash.

Villa fans, what do you make of this? Would you sell them all? Give us your thoughts in the comments!
