Speaking to Aston Villa’s official media, Steve Bruce has confirmed he will be monitoring the fitness of Gabby Agbonlahor and Neil Taylor in training, to deem if they are able to feature in Sunday’s Second-City derby.
Agbonlahor has not featured for Bruce’s side since January’s draw with Preston North End, but has resumed training recently.
Bruce’s attacking options are limited, with top scorer Jonathan Kodjia serving a one-match suspension and Scott Hogan’s form indifferent since his arrival at Villa Park in January.

Taylor has been a key part in Bruce’s side since his arrival from Swansea City, but missed a busy Easter period through injury.
During the left-back’s absence Villa lost back-to-back fixtures 3-1, leaving them without a victory in three Sky Bet Championship fixtures.
Bruce confirmed he would monitor both players in Friday’s training session, to see if they would be able to feature against Birmingham.
