Aston Villa will aim to pile the pressure on Cardiff and Fulham on Friday night as they take on Leeds United.

The men from Villa Park still have a bit of a gap to make up to their two rivals for second place but if they can beat the Whites on Friday night at least they will have done all they can.

For sure, they'll be confident after beating Cardiff that they can earn another three points against a Leeds side that is really limping to the finish line this season and, in all honesty, is there for the taking.

Villa, though, potentially have some big selection calls to make before kick-off and so with that said we've been thinking about a couple of players who could potentially come out of the starting line-up.

Let's take a look at the pair, and why they might not start as they did against Cardiff...

Mile Jedinak filled in at centre-half against Cardiff but it might be best to play John Terry - who is touch and go for Friday - or Chris Samba who ended up coming on during the game with the Bluebirds.

The Australian is capable of playing in defence but with Leeds set to play more mobile attackers with the likes of Caleb Ekuban and Samuel Saiz, maybe a more orthodox option would be wise.

It's certainly something Bruce will need to weigh up and Terry's fitness could be pivotal in his decision.

Axel Tuanzebe suffered a knock in the game against Cardiff pretty early on during the week and it might be wise to not play him even if he ends up being passed fit.

There can be no doubt that the young defender is a talent but with James Bree capable of playing at full-back there's no need to take the risk.
