There's bound to be a bit of an inquest today and for the rest of the week at Aston Villa after a shocking turn of events last night.

After the Lord Mayor's show sprang to mind watching the Villans last night as they laboured and slumped to a 3-1 loss against QPR, just days after hammering Wolves on the same patch of turf.

Certainly, it's set the club back to square one in the title race after the hope Saturday brought and now all they can do is try to bounce back against Bolton on Saturday.

Steve Bruce, then, needs to get a reaction out of his players and you'd imagine that some of the club's fans would like to see a few selection changes made for the clash with the Trotters.

Let's see who we think should get the chop then...

Conor Hourihane is a player who either tears it up or can have off-days.

Of course, most players have poor games but the midfielder's are far more noticeable given his talent and last night was one of those matches unfortunately for him.

The fans' reaction to him after last night suggests they want him dropped and so it might be best if he comes out of the side.

Mile Jedinak seems to have lost a bit of that imposing presence he had last season.

He's still a useful player for Villa to have but he didn't really get on the pace of the game last night and could be dropped for Bolton.

The Trotters have fierce competitors in midfield and so Villa need to field players that are mobile enough to compete in what is now a crucial game.
