Bristol City boss Dean Holden has revealed that he won't be adding to their his squad on deadline day - despite a relatively quiet summer in terms of transfer business.

Holden has already recruited experienced duo Chris Brunt and Chris Martin, whilst exciting Fulham pair Alfie Mawson and Steven Sessegnon have joined on season-long loan deals.

Those four new faces have already made a significant impression on the side - with the Robins currently sitting top of the Championship standings and maintained their 100 percent record heading into the international break after winning at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

And Holden, who replaced Lee Johnson towards the end of last season, told Bristol City Live that he's more than happy with the business that he's completed, but a couple could still leave the club.

He said: "We did our work early and we did good work early."

The Verdict

Given their outstanding start to the season, Holden can be forgiven for being content with his squad.

However, the Championship is a long old slog and with games coming thick and fast in this shortened campaign, Holden still has time to dip into the market in the extended domestic window, which closes next Friday.
