Bristol City striker Nahki Well has revealed that he is a Manchester United fan.

The 29-year-old joined the Robins in a £5 million deal from Burnley in January and has scored twice in his eight appearances for the club prior to the suspension of the season.

During the delay, Wells has given fans of the South West club a chance to get to know him better by holding a Q&A on City's official Twitter page.

The Bermudian striker was pressed on what team he supported growing up and revealed he had followed his brother's lead in choosing Manchester United, adding that he'll always be a fan.

Wells hasn't really had a chance to get going for the Robins yet but if his previous record in the Championship is anything to go by, it shouldn't be long before he's finding the net regularly.

The 29-year-old has 67 goals to his name in the division and scored 13 in 26 games for QPR in the first half of the season.

With City sitting seventh as things stand, they will be hoping Wells can help them secure a play-off place once the season gets back underway.

The Verdict

This is an interesting revelation from Wells but far from a surprising one considering the success that the Red Devils were having when he was growing up.

City's famous victory over the Old Trafford outfit came before the Bermudian's time at the club but fans of the Robins may be hoping he can fire them up to the Premier League this term.

That would, of course, mean that the striker would have a chance to face his childhood favourites twice next season.
