Lee Johnson has stated the importance of his Bristol City side dusting themselves down and going for wins after their midweek defeat to Millwall.
It will have been a result that would have hugely frustrated the coaching staff and supporters after picking up such a good victory over Fulham on Saturday.
The Robins couldn’t back up that win on the weekend with another, and found themselves outplayed for much of the game on Tuesday as Millwall ran out 2-1 winners at Ashton Gate.
The result leaves Bristol City ten points off the top two, and it seems like it’ll be a tall order for them to make that ground up. Johnson has expressed that his side must go again and ensure they bounce back on Saturday.
Speaking to Bristol City’s official website, Johnson said: “It was never ever going to be a game that was easy – it was always going to be difficult. They are a good side and have got really good players.
“It’s the Championship and you have to dust yourself down and go again and go for wins. There are a lot of draws this year in the Championship.”

It was quite a surprising result despite Millwall’s good form of late. Bristol City will feel that it was an opportunity missed and that they had a chance to really put some pressure on the teams above them.
Instead, Johnson’s side will now be looking down and over their shoulder after a whole host of teams look set to challenge for a spot in the play-offs this season.
It’s set to be a really interesting second-half of the campaign for this Bristol City side, and Johnson will be hoping that it ends with an amazing achievement.
