It's a difficult period of time for the UK at this moment, with recent events placing the country into 'lockdown' until further notice.

The sporting calendar has also been impacted, with no return date being set as of yet for football fixtures to return to our daily lives.

The race for promotion into the Championship is set to be an interesting battle, with a number of teams still in contention heading into the final nine matches of the season.

Nottingham Forest are one of the teams challenging for a top-six finish this term, with the Reds currently sat fifth in the second tier standings.

Forest winger Joe Lolley has recently taken to Twitter to highlight the importance of the public remaining in their homes whilst the lockdown period is still in place.

Lolley has been a key member of Sabri Lamouchi's side this season, and has chipped in with eight goals and seven assists in all competitions to date.

Lolley's former Forest team-mate Jamie Paterson was quick to respond to Lolley's important message and claimed that he should be running for Prime Minister.

Paterson and his Bristol City team-mates are sat sixth in the second tier standings, and will be keen to find a good run of form heading into the final nine games of this year's campaign.

The Verdict:

He certainly speaks sense!

Lolley is spot-on with his comments, and staying at home shouldn't be a difficult rule for people to follow at this moment in time.

It's completely understandable that football has taken a 'back seat' as well, and I'm sure the relevant authorities will come up with a time that is best-suited to everyone to return to action.

Lolley and Paterson will both be hoping they can finish this year's campaign strongly, as they're both in with a serious chance of winning promotion into the Premier League this term.
