Bristol City face a wait to see the extent of Tomas Kalas' quad injury that ruled him out of the draw with Watford yesterday evening in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Robins are having a good campaign under Dean Holden and find themselves just outside of the top two with them in third place.

Certainly, it's been a pleasing first quarter or so to the campaign for the men from Ashton Gate, but they are now waiting to see if Tomas Kalas faces a spell out.

Gregor MacGregor shared this update on social media following on from the draw with the Hornets on Wednesday:

The Verdict

The Robins would obviously like to see Kalas available as quickly as possible but time will have to tell with this one.

Teams are playing a game roughly every three days at the moment and that is set to continue for a while yet, so injuries like this, as we've seen already, are going to be ten a penny.

There'll be a hope that he's not facing a spell out at all, of course, but at the same time they'll need to be careful they take no risks as a longer period out means you'll miss a serious amount of games at this stage in the season.
