Bristol City have been under pressure more than most in the transfer window having come into it off the back of some dreadful form.

However, now perched back in the play-off places optimism is returning to Ashton Gate and they look set for a busy final couple of days with both ingoings and outgoings in the offing.

The most notable story is, of course, their move for Burnley striker Nahki Wells. Recalled from his loan with QPR, City now look set to land the forward any moment, in a deal that is reported to be worth around £4million.

Wells netted 13 goals during the opening half of the campaign for the R's and in this case, Warburton's loss is very much Johnson's gain.

Tied into that move, however, is a potentially big departure.

QUIZ: Can you name these 14 Bristol City players just by looking at the clubs they have played for?

Josh Brownhill has long been a staple of the Bristol City squad, but now looks set to move in the opposite direction to Wells, with the Clarets and the Robins appearing to be close to agreeing a deal for the midfielder too.

The 24-year-old has been an ever present this season, scoring five goals and assisting two more, but with plenty of options in central midfield, it is clearly a deal the club feel they can afford to make.

Also emerging as a potential departee is start midfielder Ashley Williams. Williams only arrived at the club in the summer but the likes of Panathinaikos in Greece, Antalyaspor in Turkey and DC United in the USA  are all keen to bring him in.

With just six months remaining on his current deal, the club and player face a big decision.
