Bristol City are closing in on yet another completed transfer move this summer, with Kane Wilson set to have a medical at the club today according to Pete O’Rourke.

The side struggled at the bottom end of the Championship last season and ultimately finished in 17th, having never really challenged for a spot any further up the division.

Nigel Pearson though is seemingly being backed this summer, as the club aim to try and push much further up the table. They’ve already added Kal Naismith to their squad and are now seemingly close to a deal for Kane Wilson too.

Quiz: Are these 18 Bristol City transfer facts true or false?

They didn't make a single loan signing during the 2021/22 campaign.

The 22-year-old played 45 times for Forest Green Rovers in League Two last season and helped the side to claim the division title and a spot in the third tier ahead of the next campaign. With three goals and 13 assists to boot, he was arguably one of their players of the season – and they will not want to lose him.

However, he’s clearly caught the eye of the Robins and now they are set to pounce and bring the player to Ashton Gate ahead of the new campaign.

A deal has been in the pipeline for a while, with the club rumoured to be linked with Wilson since the season ended. Now, an actual deal is getting closer and closer and if he completes the medical today and all goes well, it looks like he could soon be announced as a Bristol City player.

If he does join the side, then it would no doubt leave FGR scrambling to try and find a replacement soon.
