Bristol City have offered £1 million for highly-rated Gillingham midfielder Bradley Dack, according to the Daily Mail.
The 22-year old is having the season of his life, scoring 13 goals in his 27 league games and helping the Gills to third place in League One this season, just three points off the top.
Dack has been at Gillingham since 2010 when he signed for their youth team, and has made 111 appearances for the club.
City are recovering from losing their manager Steve Cotterill, who was sacked last Thursday, following a run of just two wins in their last ten that has seen them slip into the relegation zone.
A goalscorer is an obvious target this month for the Robins, who have scored six in that run of games – and it seems that the Bristol outfit have identified the gifted Gillingham star to help rejuvenate the faltering side.
It is believed that the Bristol City board see Dack as a player who can help them maintain their Sky Bet Championship status.
Justin Edinburgh’s side will be devastated to lose such an important player for them, and it will definitely disturb their promotion push in Sky Bet League One.
