Derby County goalkeeper Kelle Roos is a wanted man, it seems.

The Rams’ keeper has played 13 times this season, deputising for Scott Carson while he recovered from injury.

The 26-year-old is out of contract in the summer, and Sky Sports is reporting that while talks over a new deal are ongoing – there's a trio of Championship clubs tracking the Dutchman.

Roos has been at Pride Park for five years but only made his debut in January, and his performances at the start of the new year alerted the attention of Bristol City, Stoke and Hull.

It’s understood, via Sky Sports, that there are a number of clubs from the Netherlands also keeping a keen eye on developments regarding Roos.

There is no shortage of admirers for the talented stopper, with the summer set to be very interesting for the 26-year-old.

The verdict

Roos is a solid goalkeeper; his problem is that he has been behind a player of Scott Carson’s ilk for a while now.

The former England stopper's injury saw the 26-year-old finally get his chance, and impressed during his time between the sticks.

That has obviously alerted clubs to his availability, considering he is out of contract at the end of the season.

The Rams want to keep him, but the lure of regular first-team football club be too much to resist for next season and beyond.
