If you had to name this season's surprise package in the Championship so far, it is more than likely Bristol City would come to mind pretty sharpish.

Tipped as potential relegation candidates at the start of the year by some onlookers, the Robins have come out of the traps flying and are currently well entrenched in the play-off spots.

Certainly, then, they'll be looking to keep that up for the rest of the season and fans will hope that Bobby Reid and Joe Bryan remain in form with them named as two of the nominees for the PFA Championship Fans' Player of the Month:

Interestingly enough, though, Bryan doesn't appear to fancy his chances too much with him responding to a fan on Twitter, asking whether they should vote for him or Reid, in this fashion:

For sure, Reid has been utterly superb so far this season and helped lead an attack that has put sides you'd have expected the Robins to lose to to the sword, but Bryan has just been as key.

He and the likes of Aden Flint have helped keep opposing teams out during games and so it remains to be seen if this modesty gets repaid with fan votes.

The Verdict

The PFA Fans' Vote is always something players will want to win as it shows that rival fans, not just ones of their own club, have recognised and been impressed with their performances.

For sure, Bristol City deserve to have Reid and Bryan in the nominations list and it remains to be seen if either of them can win it.
