Bristol City attacker Bobby Reid has hinted that he could stay at Ashton Gate beyond the summer, The Bristol Post is reporting.

The Bristol Post understand that Premier League side Bournemouth are interested in snapping up Reid in the summer transfer window.

With Bristol City's hopes of reaching a play-off spot now looking slim, many fears would be fearing the worst.

Reid has struck 20 goals for the Robins this season, and added a further seven assists, as he has helped them maintain a promotion push for the majority of the season.

The 25-year-old was also named in both the EFL and the PFA Championship Team of the Year for his performances for the Robins this term.

With speculation surrounding his long term future at Bristol City, where he came through the academy, Reid was asked about where he would be playing his football next season.

The 5ft 7in forward said: “I want to concentrate on the last three games.

“I don’t want to be talking about my future, contract situations and whatnot.

“I just want to get these three games played, hopefully get in the play-offs and take it from there.

"I’m here to stay at Bristol City so that’s the main thing.

“I’ve got another year here and the main thing is we focus on the games ahead."

The Verdict

Reid is clearly very committed to his club, having been with them since he was a young schoolboy. But perhaps it is time, at the age of 25, to make that step up because he may not get another chance. You get the feeling that Reid was desperate to win promotion with Bristol City this season but he might have to leave if he has Premier League ambitions.
