Bristol City have enjoyed a sensational start to the 2017/18 Sky Bet Championship campaign, and currently sit in fourth spot as we head into the international break.

Lee Johnson's men look a completely revitalised side so far this season compared to the one which was battling in the lower echelons of the division.

The likes of Bobby Reid and Famara Diedhiou have made excellent starts to the season, and the former in particular is thriving in a more attacking role, with Reid having scored seven goals so far this season in the league.

Matty Taylor, whom Bristol City signed from Bristol Rovers last January, has been in and out of the starting eleven at Ashton Gate, but it was a transfer that caused a lot of controversy as Taylor became the first player to move directly to Bristol City from Bristol Rovers since Trevor Morgan in 1987.

But should Lee Johnson be looking over to the local rivals for more talent?

25-year-old attacking midfielder Billy Bodin has been enjoying an incredibly fruitful season for Bristol Roves this season, and is a player that is pivotal to Darrell Clarke's side.

Bodin has notched a superb eight goals so far this season and his dynamic attacking displays have helped the Gas secure many points so far this season.

The Swindon-born midfielder can play in a variety of attacking positions, and can be utilised just behind the striker, on the left or on the right.

This versatility could be incredibly useful for Lee Johnson in the second half of the season, and he should genuinely consider a move for the creative player in January.

Bodin was linked with an array of Championship sides in the summer including Preston and Cardiff City, and the Robins need to be keeping tabs on their bitter rivals' main man.

Playing just behind a front two of Bobby Reid and Famara Diedhiou, Bodin would be an excellent supply line for the attacking duo, and Bodin's ability to score himself could make it a formidable offensive trio.
