Bristol City will be looking to improve on last season in the Championship but they are going to have to do it without two key men.

The Robins played some really nice stuff last season at times but eventually just fell short of the play-off places.

And, as they aim to improve on that in 2018/19, it looks as though a squad rejig will be needed with Aden Flint and now Bobby Reid leaving the club.

Flint went to Middlesbrough earlier this week, of course, and now striker Reid has moved to Cardiff City as they aim to stay in the Premier League this season coming:

A man who quickly grew into his striker role last season for the Robins, he was one of the players of the year and deserves a crack at the Premier League.

The Verdict

It might hurt a bit that Reid has moved to the Robins' Severnside rivals but they won't begrudge him a chance at the Premier League.

A player who shone for them last season, the Robins will at least be calm enough in the knowledge that goal-scorers have left before and, usually, the club has managed to replace them well.
