Bristol City reportedly tie star down to extended deal

Published

on

According to HITC, Bristol City have chosen to extend the contract of Marlon Pack for a further year until 2019.

Pack’s old deal was set to expire this summer but there was the clause in it that another year could be added if that was so desired.

It looks as though the Robins want to keep him, too, with them continuing their challenge for the play-off places in the Championship at the moment.

The men from Ashton Gate have a huge game away at Middlesbrough on the way tomorrow in what could prove pivotal in the race for the top six.

After signing this extension, too, Pack will be hoping that he’ll be plying his trade in the Premier League come the start of the 2018/19 campaign.

The Verdict

The Robins have a number of players on deals similar to Pack and it’d be no surprise to see more news like this come through in the coming weeks.

Certainly, regardless of where they are playing next season they’ll want to keep much of this squad together with them enjoying a campaign full of highs.

We should perhaps expect Pack to just be one of many, then.
