Bristol City midfielder Kasey Palmer has taken to Instagram to share footage of Josh Brownhill following the Robins captain’s man-of-the-match performance during the 1-0 victory over Cardiff.

Brownhill scored the winning goal in the 67th minute of the match against the Robins’ local rivals in the Welsh capital, while he also delivered an all-round accomplished midfield showing to help his side seal the win.

The result saw Lee Johnson’s side end Cardiff’s unbeaten home record in the league this term, while it also ensured the Robins are heading into the international break sitting in the Championship’s play-off zone.

Palmer took to Instagram after the match to share a video which showed Brownhill sitting on the team bus while holding his man-of-the-match award after the match.

Brownhill’s stunning strike against the Bluebirds was his third effort of the season following key goals against Derby and Charlton, while he is yet to miss a minute for Bristol City in the Championship this term.

The Verdict

Brownhill scored an excellent goal to separate the two sides at the Cardiff City Stadium, while he also delivered a strong performance across the pitch that was key to his side’s impressive victory.

Cardiff have been particularly strong on home soil this campaign, and the fact the Robins were able to defeat them in the Welsh capital is definitely a reflection of their promotion credentials this term.

Brownhill will continue to be a key figure if Johnson’s side are to maintain their Premier League push, and it is critical that he and the rest of the Robins squad now continue their strong run of form after the international break.
