Josh Brownhill has stated that the Leeds United midfield is the toughest to play against in the Championship.

The Bristol City player has enjoyed a great start to the current campaign, and has helped his Robins side to go unbeaten since the opening fixture of the league season.

Lee Johnson will be hoping that he can guide the Robins to the promised land, with the club looking ready to take on the Premier League, in terms of their facilities.

Their one and only defeat of the season has come against Marcelo Bielsa's strong Leeds United side who currently sit level on points with the Robins after 11 games of the new campaign.

Brownhill has praised Leeds, and claimed that they're the toughest midfield that he's played so far this season.

Speaking to BBC Radio Bristol about the toughest midfield to play against, Brownhill said: “The Leeds midfield three because the way they press is literally man for man, wherever you go it’s literally you against them. The Reading midfield three were also good as it was hard to get the ball off them."

The Verdict

Quite the praise from Brownhill, and that goes to show how highly he rates the Leeds team and what they do.

It's not often you see praise from rivals of other sides, especially with how close the two teams are in the league table. That shows what kind of guy Brownhill is, and why he's so liked by Bristol City supporters.

It's a huge season for the Robins and they have to try their hardest to achieve the aims that they have set out to achieve this year. If they are to be promoted, Brownhill will be a key part of that team and will hold it as his best achievement as a player.
