Bristol City striker Benik Afobe has posted an image of himself with former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino on Instagram.
Afobe joined the Robins on a season-long loan from Stoke City in the summer and made a fast start to life at Ashton Gate–scoring three times in his first five appearances.
However, he suffered a nasty ligament injury in October that it was originally thought would keep him out for the rest of the season.
It appears he may return to the fray for the Robins before that as he recently revealed a positive update on his rehabilitation.
He is not part of the playing squad at the moment though he was pictured in the away end at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium during the Robins 1-0 win.
Afobe has provided another recent update on his Instagram story, showing him with Pochettino, who is currently out of a job after being sacked by Spurs in November.
It appears Pochettino is a popular figure in his family, as Afobe has included a caption: “What a man! My Mama’s favourite coach!”

As a product of the Arsenal academy, it may pain some Gunners fans to see Afobe and Pochettino together, and the striker heaping praise on the Argentine.
It has been a tough year for the 26-year-old, who has had to deal with the death of his daughter as well as a long period on the sidelines.
With that in mind, hopefully, Afobe can return to the fray before the end of the season.
He seems to like City and he is certainly popular among fans of the club, who were singing his name in the away end at QPR.
