Bristol City youngster Ryley Towler is attracting interest from a quartet of EFL sides on loan, according to Football Insider.

Towler made his debut for the Robins' first-team in February towards the end of Dean Holden's reign, featuring in a FA Cup defeat to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

The 19-year-old made a further three appearances in the Championship towards the end of the previous campaign, before penning a new three-year deal at Ashton Gate.

The next step for Towler is a loan move away from Ashton Gate, and according to Football Insider, four EFL sides are interested in his services.

League One duo Crewe Alexandra and Cheltenham Town are said to be keen, as are League Two duo Rochdale and Hartlepool United.

Towler is a versatile player who has played in both central midfield and at wing-back for City, so it remains to be seen where he plays if he did move away from the club this summer.

The Verdict

This first move away from Ashton Gate is a big one for Towler and the club need to get it spot on.

The first decision they need to make is what level he's best playing at. League One looks set to be a tough division next season with so many big clubs fighting for promotion, so it would be a good experience for him.

Crewe play some excellent football with some very talented youngsters in their side, and under Dave Artell, I think they could get the best out of Towler.
