Since he joined in the last week of the transfer window, Jonathan Leko has featured in two away games for Bristol City.

However, with Derby making the trip to Ashton Gate this weekend, the powerful winger will get his first taste of action at Ashton Gate, and admitted he's really looking forward to it.

Speaking to the club's official site, the on-loan West Brom man said: “We now return to Ashton Gate on Saturday and I am excited because I haven't played at home yet.”

I've never actually competed at Ashton Gate but all the boys have told me how good the fans are so I am expecting a good atmosphere!

It should be a lively encounter, given that City come into the game boasting a five-game unbeaten run, although they've drawn four of those.

Yet, four points from away trips to Reading and Wolves have lifted the fans after a mixed start to the season.

Leko made his start for the club in the thrilling 3-3 draw at Molineux and was pleased with his contribution.

I thought we played some good football and I managed to create a couple of chances which was good.

The 18-year old will be hoping for a similar impact at his temporary new home on Saturday.

The Verdict

Jonathan Leko is highly thought of at West Brom, so it was a great move by Lee Johnson to sign him up for the season.

His pace and power will test any defence and after two tough away games he will be hoping to see more of the ball at Ashton Gate.

The Robins are undefeated at home so far but it's sure to be tight against Gary Rowett's improving Derby County.
