Lee Johnson is due to meet with Arsenal legend Ian Wright, who advised Eddie Nketiah to go to Leeds United in the summer instead of staying in the south and signing with Bristol City on loan.

Wright is understood to be keen on learning more about Bristol City and is set to meet with Johnson at an upcoming under-23s game, where Bristol City host Wright's old club and the club that gave the former striker a chance in professional football, Crystal Palace.

Johnson said: "He is coming to the Crystal Palace game so we've arranged that.

"Unfortunately, he couldn't make it the day before because he had prior arrangements but I think he was keen to come and watch us play.

"At that point, I'll definitely get him in the office and we'll have a little chat and hopefully sell him the dream as well, because if there are any future players that want to ask Ian Wright's opinion, it's important that he knows what we're about."

So far while at Leeds, Nketiah hasn't had the best time of it, yet to start a Championship game and has had to settle for a place on the bench behind Bielsa's favoured striker Patrick Bamford. However, the on-loan Arsenal forward has taken his chance though when he's been given an opportunity on the pitch, scoring four goals during his nine limited appearances in all competitions.

Bristol City currently sit sixth in the Championship Playoffs with 20 points from 11 games played so far.

The Verdict:

Johnson deciding to try and get friendly with Wright could be a bold move, as if he sells the club and the dream that the Robins have to Wright successfully, then any promising Arsenal youngster looking for a spell out on loan who heads to Wright for advice will be advised that Bristol City would be the right club for them.
