Bristol City are reportedly interested in making a move for Derby County winger Florian Jozefzoon, according to the Telegraph.

The winger arrived at the Rams from Championship side Brentford but has failed to impress or cement down a starting position in the side.

He's made just 10 appearances in the current campaign, with only six of those coming from the start. Now, it appears as though he's now a big part of Phillip Cocu's current or future plans.

The Robins are looking for that all important top six finish which would give them an opportunity of earning a club-defining promotion to the Premier League.

Lee Johnson is clearly looking at improvements for his squad and will hope that he can get some over the line in the next week having failed earlier in the window as target Eddie Nketiah stayed at Arsenal.

The Verdict

This isn't a signing that particularly gets the pulses racing, although it is a good signing that adds to some much needed squad depth at Ashton Gate.

The player can be a very influential part of a side when played out-wide and given a run of games in the side. Although, at 28-years-old, he has to be playing in order to be the most effective that he can be.

It would give the Robins a more skilful, pacy option that would allow them to stretch the opposition when playing sides who like to sit their back-line further up the pitch.

Bristol City will now hope that they can get it over the line and focus on other targets in what could be a crucial week for the Robins.
