Sky Bet Championship side Bristol City are interested in signing Barnsley striker Kieffer Moore in the summer, according to reports from reliable journalist Alan Nixon.

The Robins missed out on a place in the Championship play-offs last season, but manager Lee Johnson has insisted that his summer transfer business will be "bold" as he looks to take his side one step further next term.

And, it is believed that City are after Barnsley forward Kieffer Moore - the 26-year old has endured an impressive season in front of goal, and has played an influential role in the Tykes' promotion from League One.

The towering forward netted 17 goals in 31 league games in the 2018/19 season, despite missing almost two months of the season due to a head injury.

It is claimed that the Robins, who have also been linked with Middlesbrough's Britt Assombalonga and Aston Villa's Scott Hogan, will submit a hefty bid for the powerful striker, who signed for Daniel Stendel's men from Ipswich in 2018.

Barnsley won automatic promotion to the Championship, after finishing in 2nd place behind Luton Town last term.

The Verdict

I think Moore would be a terrific signing for Bristol City in the summer.

He has endured a couple of difficult spells in the Championship, but is bound to be feeling full of confidence after a hugely impressive campaign with the Tykes.

It would take a lot of money to lure him away from Oakwell and tempt the Tykes into selling, but he is surely worth the money.
