Bristol City’s Jamie McAllister has shared some views on Leeds United, stating that Marcelo Bielsa’s side have a lot of weaknesses.

Leeds have been amongst the Championship’s fast starters this season, with Bielsa’s side playing an attractive brand of football that has helped to put them into serious promotion contention.

They’ve lost on just three occasions in the opening 17 fixtures of the season, but were heavily beaten by West Brom prior to last weekend’s international break.

McAllister, Lee Johnson’s assistant at Ashton Gate, has been discussing the Whites ahead of Saturday’s clash between the two sides at Elland Road, touching on the strengths and weaknesses of Bielsa’s side.

“Bielsa’s a top coach and it is going to be good to test ourselves against that,” he told Bristol Live.

“They have a lot of strengths but a lot of weaknesses as well as we saw against West Brom. It’s a great place to go and play.”

Whilst Leeds head into the contest on the back of a defeat, so do the Robins, who are on a worrying run of form.

Johnson’s side have lost three consecutive fixtures that has seen them slide to mid-table in recent weeks.

Stoke City, along with struggling Reading and Preston North End have picked up maximum points from the Robins in recent weeks.

The Verdict

Leeds’ weaknesses were exposed against West Brom, but it is worth remembering the quality of Darren Moore’s Baggies.

Bielsa will demand a reaction against Bristol City, and whilst the Robins will have identified some weaknesses, they have to be cautious.

If Leeds get on a roll at Elland Road it could be a testing afternoon.
