The January transfer window has often been a disappointing month for Bristol City and their supporters, but they will be dreaming of a different approach this winter.

With Benik Afobe having picked up an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury during September, the club have been desperate for a new striker and have been casting the net far and wide around England in a bid to try and find the right replacement.

The club originally recruited Rodri on a short-term deal until January, however the striker has failed to impress so far during his sporadic appearances as he is yet to find the net.

During the summer, the Robins were linked with Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah, however he decided to decline the club’s offer and moved up north to Leeds United, where game-time has been hard to come by for the youngster.

The young forward has again been linked with the club in recent weeks amid reports that Arsenal are ready to recall Nketiah and send him elsewhere in January, with City lurking in the wings for the striker’s signature.
