Bristol City have had an underwhelming but comfortable season of consolidation in the Championship.

The Robins would have been concerned about their 2021/22 prospects after finishing 2020/21 so poorly under Nigel Pearson.

However, the experienced manager has steered the ship well enough and blooded some younger players as the Robins have avoided entering the relegation conversation for the entire campaign.

FLW's Bristol City fan pundit Ben Mead reeled off a handful of names who should be considered for Bristol City's most improved player of the season.

Speaking to Football League World, Mead said"I'd probably go either (Antoine) Semenyo or (Chris) Martin.

"I think Martin has been quality this season, he's been so much better than last season, Semenyo as well.

"They've both been banging in goals, Martin has been getting a lot of assists and also bringing the ball down, they've both been quality this season, probably two players I didn't expect to be up there.

"Obviously, we have Weimann, who's been smashing it for the last few seasons, I didn't expect Martin and Semenyo to be doing so well.

"Those two, are probably the most improved from recently, I'd probably also put Dan Bentley as well, he's saved us this season, he's been quality.

"Any of these three would be most improved, or even Jay DaSilva as well."
