Bristol City face battle to sign loan star on a permanent deal

Bournemouth forward Lee Tomlin is attracting the interest of a number of Championship clubs, with Norwich the latest to be considering a bid, according to clubcall.com.

Tomlin moved to Dean Court last summer for £3.5m from Middlesbrough, but found first team opportunities limited, joining Bristol City on loan in January where he scored six goals in 18 appearances.

City and Lee Johnson are said to be exploring a permanent deal for Tomlin, who would likely have to take a pay cut to remain at Ashton Gate.

Tomlin, however, could be tempted by the  challenge of playing for a side aiming for promotion, with recently relegated Newcastle and Aston Villa also said to be interested in the former Peterborough man.

Newcastle and Villa would also be able to offer larger financial packages to the former Boro man, something which may tempt him to chose one of the recently relegated clubs.

What do you make of this news Norwich, Newcastle and Aston Villa fans? Would Tomlin be a good addition to a squad challenging for an instant return to the Premier League? Post your thoughts and opinions below.
