Championship promotion chasers Bristol City are chasing Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, according to respected journalist Alan Nixon.

The 21-year-old striker has been in impressive form for the Gers this season since sealing a move to the Scottish club from HJK this summer, and has now seemingly caught the eye of City manager Lee Johnson, who is keen to bolster his options to aid his side's promotion hunt.

Morelos has been one of the shining lights for Rangers as they continue to try and close the gap on rivals Celtic, and any move for their striker would surely come at a cost, with the Ibrox club unlikely to want to sell one of their star assets so early into his career up North.

However, Morelos himself could well be tempted if the Robins do make a move for him, with the chance to play in a promotion chasing side in the Championship likely to be something he would not want to pass up on.

There's no news of a concrete bid from Bristol as yet, but manager Johnson is keen, and it would be no surprise to see them lodge a firm bid over the coming days.

Robins fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
