As per the club's official website, Bristol City have confirmed that young left-back Cameron Pring will leave the Robins on loan for Aldershot in the National League.

It's been a good start to the season for the Robins with many of their young players excelling and looking like a team that could challenge for the play-off places. Lee Johnson has done a wonderful job so far this year, then, and in the coming seasons Pring will be hoping to play his part.

For now, though, the left-back is earning experience and will now go to the Shots after spending two months on loan with Welsh side Merthyr Town, where he played every minute of every game. He's available for the National League side's clash with Tranmere Rovers this weekend, too, and this move should represent a step up in quality for him.

If he can deal with this, then, he might either get another loan move away to another side higher up in the English football system or even be more involved with the Robins - though that might still be some way off for now. The men from Ashton Gate have the likes of Joe Bryan at the moment, and that is where Pring needs to be aiming.

The Verdict

Pring in going on a month's loan and in that time he'll look to assert himself quickly and get minutes under his belt.

The National League is more competitive than ever and is always growing in quality so it should be a good test to see where he is in terms of his development.
