Bristol City striker Benik Afobe has offered fans an insight into how he is staying in shape whilst the league is suspended following last week's significant announcement.

The EFL revealed that English football will be suspended until April 3 due to recent events with many players told to isolate themselves, but Afobe is clearly keen to make the most of it.

Sharing a series of videos on his Instagram story, he revealed a snippet of his exercises from his own front room, along with the caption: "#ITrainAtHome".

Can you remember where these 15 ex-Bristol City players moved after leaving?

Afobe made the move to Ashton Gate on loan from Stoke City on deadline day during the summer transfer window but suffered a cruciate ligament injury after just six appearances, during which he netted three goals.

Ever since he has been in rehabilitation but returned to training in the past few weeks with Lee Johnson previously confirming that they hoped to have him back in action by April.

As things stand, the Robins sit in seventh place with just nine matches of the campaign remaining, one point adrift of sixth-placed Preston North End with a clash with Blackburn Rovers awaiting them when the season does finally restart.

The verdict

It will be very interesting to see how player behaviour changed in the coming weeks as the suspension goes on.

Sure, April 3 is supposed to be football's return date, but there is still a good chance that the suspension will go on beyond that and well into the spring months.

But for now, all they can really do is train at home and stay in as good shape as they possibly can.
