Quoted by Bristol City's official website, Han-Noah Massengo has revealed the work he has been doing during the last couple of months in order to come back stronger for when football gets going once again.

Indeed, it appears as though we're closing in on a return to the game in this country with the Premier League and Championship leading the way.

For Bristol City, a play-off challenge is still on the cards and their fans will be hoping that their players can hit the ground running and make things count on the pitch.

Massengo has evidently been doing the work set to him during the period, too, with him revealing what he's been up to of late.

He said:

“It gave me more time to focus on my strength sessions, I bought balls as well and I started working every day.

“I was trying to keep a routine because if I lost it I knew it would be hard to get back. I was waking up early doing my running and keeping to the club’s programme. I was focused on working my upper and lower body in the morning and in the afternoon I would get out to the training ground to kick a ball and work on my weaknesses, either alone or with my brother, for the hour we were allowed, so that was useful too.”

The Verdict

Massengo is a young player with a bright future and, though this period will have been testing for him in a new country at a young age, he appears to have used it productively.

He's evidently been working hard and been proactive with how he has approached his period away from his team-mates and now training is back up and running he'll be looking to nail down a first-team spot and help the Robins achieve promotion to the Premier League.
