Bristol City have released four players, the club's official website has confirmed.

Paul-Arnold Garita, Scott Golbourne, Gary O'Neil and Luke Steele are all leaving the club when their contract expires this summer.

O'Neil joined Bristol City in summer 2016 from Norwich City with a track record of winning promotion to the Premier League but his side fell just short this season.

The former West Ham and Portsmouth veteran played 36 games for the Robins, scoring one goal.

Garita leaves having just made the one cup appearance for Lee Johnson's men while Golbourne played 40 times but spent last season at MK Dons on loan.

Goalkeeper Steele leaves after just one season, having joined the club from Panathinaikos last summer.

He played 10 games during his short stay at Ashton Gate, mainly acting as a deputy for Frank Fielding.

Meanwhile, a handful of youngsters have been offered fresh terms.

Here are how Bristol City fans reacted to their retained list.
