Millwall negotiated a tricky looking cup-tie against League One strugglers AFC Wimbledon last Saturday to secure a safe passage to the FA Cup quarter-finals.

It will be the Lions’ second appearances in the last eight in the last three years, and fourth in the previous 15.

Neil Harris’ men made hard work of the win, failing to convert their chances to make the tie a lot more comfortable.

Murray Wallace headed him after five minutes to give the away side the lead in what would turn out to be the winner.

It was the second cup-tie in a row that the left-back had scored the winner to put his side through.

Three years ago, the Lions were drawn away to Premier League Tottenham Hotspur in their final year at the old White Hart Lane.

This evening, Millwall will find out their opponents in the last eight of this year’s iteration of the competition.

Brighton and Hove Albion, Crystal Palace and Manchester City, Watford and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all confirmed top-flight sides to be in the quarter-finals, with either Chelsea or Manchester United joining them tonight.

Swansea City are the only Championship team along with Millwall to reach this stage.

Ahead of the draw, the Lions’ official Twitter account posted a question to their fanbase: Who would they like in the quarter-final draw this evening?

Here’s who some of the supporters want to meet in the next phase of the FA Cup with one win standing between then and a trip to Wembley in the semi-final.
