Middlesbrough were held at Barnsley today as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

It was a frustrating afternoon for Garry Monk's men, who failed to convert their 67 per cent possession into a victory at Oakwell.

The game started at a fast pace.

In a frantic opening nine minutes, Barnsley found themselves 2-1 up.

Middlesbrough's Ashley Fletcher put the ball into his own net with a header after three minutes before Martin Braithwaite volleyed in an equaliser four minutes later.

But Boro were only level for two more minutes as Cameron McGeehan headed home a cross from Brad Potts to restore the home side's lead.

Boro pressed hard for an equaliser and it finally came on the sixty minute mark - Britt Assombalonga with the goal.

That is how the game finished as Middlesbrough were held away at Barnsley and have to make do with just the one point.

Here are how Boro fans reacted to this draw.
