Stoke City have seriously struggled on their return to the Championship, with the Potters already planning for next season.

They began the season as favourites for the title under Gary Rowett but he was sacked mid-season with Nathan Jones coming in. However, results haven't improved under the former Luton boss.

Therefore, many supporters will be pointing the finger at the players, with several under performing - as they did last season.

And, one of those is Saido Berahino who has had an extremely difficult time since he arrived from West Brom.

For our latest FLW Rewind, we take a look at the reaction from supporters when he signed - and there was a lot of hope and optimism at the time.

The move was a controversial one at the time, as Berahino had built a reputation as an unreliable character after he pushed for moves away from West Brom on several occasions.

However, his extremely productive 2014/15 campaign for the Baggies, where he hit 14 Premier League goals, proved that there was a player in there.

At the time, he was heavily linked with Tottenham and some felt he would go on to become a regular England international.

So, the Potters were hoping to get him back to that level but no goals in 28 top-flight games across two seasons show that it emphatically didn't work.

Even relegation to the Championship hasn't helped the £12m man who signed a five-and-a-half year deal when he joined, as he's managed just three goals this season in 23 games.

Ultimately, it's hard to see where Berahino's career goes from here and he is a big-money signing that Stoke City are sure to regret.
